Easy
Swing Out -This is an easy trick to do off of any jump.
While in the air, push your bike off to the side, and then
bring it back.
Dead Sailor- When your in the air, stifen your arms and legs.
It's so easy it's dumb.
Bar-turn-While in the air turn your bars to the left or the right.
Kickout-As soon as your back wheel leaves the jump, swing the rear of
your
bike around to the right or the left with your hips and legs.
Once you swing your bike out bring it right back in. Don't
stay sideways too long. A "full swing" is about 80 degrees and looks
cool.
One-footer- Simply take your right or left foot off your pedal, kick
it out to the side, and bring it back on before you land. Your crank
will rotate downward when your foot comes off the pedal, so be sure
to get it back on in time to return your crank to a level position.
start out small and gradually get bigger.
One-hander- Take one hand off the bars and bring it back. Try to keep
your bars straight the whole time. Start out small. You can do many
variations to this trick, like a tire-grab or a seat-grab, which will
help you out later on different tricks.
Can-can- It's alot like a one-footer except you cross your leg over
the top tube. This is another trick that you have to start out small
and work bigger.
X-up- Turn your bars a full 180 degrees and then turn them back to
their normal position. You have to kind of "stretch" your shoulders
and arms a bit to get the bars 180 degrees around.
Tabletop- Turn your bars to one direction and tip your bike
horizontally the other direction. You end up turning your bike
on its side and parallel to the ground.
Difficult
Feeble Grind-A feeble grind is when your back peg on the rail and your
front wheel
rolls across the top of the rail.
No-footer- Take both your feet off the pedals and stick them out to
the side.
Start out small and gradually work your way up to bigger no-footers.
Wile you
are in the air hold your back brake so that your crank does not rotate.
Practice these on the ground to learn the feel of it.(if you have a
front brake)
Plus it looks cool when you are riding flatland and you do this.
No-hander-Pull your front end up hard as you leave the lip of the jump.
Get your bike in a near-vertical position. Your bars should be in your
lap before you take your hands off. Level your bike out as you put
your hands back on the bars. Make sure the bars are straight and
your hands are securely back on the handlebars before landing.
Bar Spin - You need a good ramp that has a nice lip and speed.
Hit the ramp as you normally would and kind of tuck your knees
under the nose of the seat. Lean your body backwords and
spin the bars by removing one hand and taking the hand still hanging
on and spin. Wait until the bars have spun, then catch them and
land. Don't get discouraged if you screw up a couple times, also
the front wheel may dip a little and if this happens, clinch your knees
and lean back more. It takes time, so keep trying.
Nac-nac- A cross between a can-can and a swingout, only you
swing the rear of your bike to the right and take your right foot
and swing it way back around behind you. And like you should
always do, return to a normal riding position before landing.
One footed seat grab - Get good at a one footer and a one hander
then a one footer one hander. Now do a one footer one hander and
with your free hand grab the top tube. This trick looks even better
if you tip your bike strait up and down. Bring yourself back to a
riding position and land.
360 Nose Pick - Go towards the ramp and when at the coping, lock
the front brake and swing the back end to the side. When at 180
degrees, look where you want to land and let the frame fall around
the rest of the way. The trick is having enough pressure on the
coping with your tire so it doesn't come off when you are at 180
degrees.
Not a chance
Flare - A flare is basically a backflip with a 180. When you are
in the air, pull back on the handlebars like you are doing a
backflip. When you do the backflip and you are staring at the
ground, turn your handlebars to the right hard and swing the
tail of the bike out.Once you do this and land.
Back Flip - Pedal and get a good amount of speed. Keep your feet on
the
pedals when you take off. Pull up on the bars, arch your back,
tip your head back, and keep your eyes on the landing ramp. While in
the
air, keep your hands on the bars and your body in a low position.
Land on your front wheel and bring the back wheel down
on the ramp. Land with knees bent and be prepared to fall
the first dozen times or so. If you land on your back wheel,
you'll bounce forward and over the handlebars. Don't over
rotate the flip.
Suicide Flip - In a regular flip, your bars would go straight up, but
a suicide flip goes from the side. Here's how! Push your bars to the
side and your frame will follow. If your flipping right tuck your
left foot under your left peddle or vice versa. When your landing
suck in your chest so you fall back. It's like doing a barrel-roll
on a bike.
Superman Seat-Grab Trickdriver - When you hit the jump quickly spin
360 degrees, while you are spinning take one hand off the handlebars
and grab the nose of the seat. With the other hand spin the
handlebars 360 degrees. Wile you do this, take your feet off the
pedals and stick them out like superman. Then bring your hands and
feet back to the pedals and bars and land.
Cliff Hanger - First get alot of air. Then take your feet off of the
pedals, hook them under the bars. Stick your arms straight up like
you are hanging from your feet. Bring everything back and land.
No-footer/No-hander- This is just pure suicide. Wile in the air, let
go of
the handlebars and jump off the pedals. Now comes the secret part,
try to land
back on the bike and land safely.
360 tailwhip-start to do a 360. When you get 180 degrees around, kick
your
frame around theother way. Keep on spining when you get 360 degrees
around,
catch your frameand put your feet on the pedals and land.
"Straight out" No-hander- Instead of lifting your arms straight
up with the bike in a vertical position, like in a no hander, put
your arms straight out to the sides with the bike in a horizontal
position. The bike tends to nose-dive when you take your hands off
like this. When you take off, lean back and pinch the seat with
your knees. Doing this will help keep the nose of the bike level.
Then take both hands off the bars, at the same time and stretch
your arms straight out to the sides. Pull them in and land.
No-footed Can-can- Take both feet off the pedals and and stick
them both out to the same side of the bike. Bring them in and land.
360-You don't really need much air to do a 360. Start the rotation before
the bike completely leaves the ground. Don't go too fast at first.
start to turn before your bike leaves the ground. Turn your head
and handlebars hard to one direction. Where your head leads, your body
follows. Don't focus any where on the ground but the landing ramp.
Because where you focus is where you stop rotating.
Toboggan- A Toboggan is exactly like the old school flatland trick
"Miami Hoppers" But only in the air. Let the front of the bike drop
straight down. Lean way back over the seat like you are going to
sit on the back tire.Take your left hand off the bars and grab the
nose of the seat. Pull back on your right hand so the bars turn 90
degrees to the left. If you can land it you can do a toboggan.
Barspin-Lean back to balance out the bike because the nose will often
drop.
Pinch the seat with your knees, and spin the bars. catch them and land.
Learn this on the ground first.(see barspin: flatland these aren't
too
bad) Start out doing half bar spins first. Land with your bars backwards.
When you get good at that, try full barspins.
Liquid sword - When approaching a dirt jump, get your left pedal
down. After jumping off the ramp, jump off to the left side of
your bike. While doing this, let go of the left grip and grab
it with your right hand. When you're on the left side, put your
right foot on the left front peg and kick it backwards. This
will
make the bike start to do a flip. When it is back to a normal
position, get back on and prepare to land.
Front peg grab - This trick requires a lot of air time. The more air
time you got the easier it will be. While in the air lean over the
handlebars and grab your front pegs. Come back and land. Pull the
bike up before you start to reach for the pegs. This will keep the
bike from tipping too forward. Be careful! This one will really knock
the wind out of you if you do not make it back in time.
